Advent comes at the end of a calendar year that has been really hard. So much of what we've experienced - and continue to experience - causes us to wonder and ask questions and try to make some sense of all that's going on. From waiting for election results to the pandemic's end to challenges in our own lives that continue day after day, we ask what's taking so long? The answer to that question is found in the patience and ongoing work of God among us. Things that don't make sense in life will be resolved in God's perfect timing. In the meantime, we wait - expectantly and actively, as Jesus taught.
