The month of October is First Church’s month to donate desserts to the local Meals On Wheels organization. Collections will be taken at all services on the weekend of October 10/11. Desserts can include cookies, cakes, bar cookies, brownies, muffins, quick breads, etc. Help us by following these guidelines:
• Refrain from using gooey icings or nuts (Hint: slice a cake in half and put icing between the layers or fill cupcakes with a filling.)
• Diabetic desserts are appreciated
• Use disposable pans
• Wrap and label the dessert in freezer paper or freezer bags
Monetary donationals are also a great way to give. $30 feeds one client for one week. Make checks payable to Butler Meals on Wheels.
