Main Passage: “Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends!” Lamentations 3:21-22

Main Ideas:

1. Context – The majority of the Israelite people were taken captive by the Babylonians, forced to leave their homes, jobs, and families. Some were allowed to stay in Israel, but lived in horrible conditions. Their homeland was falling apart, becoming desolated.

2. In one of the Israelites biggest challenges throughout their history, God reminded the prophet Jeremiah of how true, lasting hope is found in Him love for us.

3. God gave Jeremiah hope so that he could then share this hope with his people.

4. Even in the hardest trials, God’s love and hope is still an eternal promise.

Questions:

  1. What about the Coronavirus makes you feel anxious right now?
  2. How does the passage encourage you to stay hopeful?
  3. How can we spread hope right now?

DARE TO HOPE Challenge: Think about a few things that you are truly grateful for right now, that you don’t always give thanks for. Give God thanks and ask Him to help you live with more gratitude.
